It is over. I have survived Sophomore swimming season. What in the world am I going to do with all of this free time? After WPIALs tomorrow and Friday, what will I do on my Saturday mornings, or after school until 5:30 when I get home? Run. Run and blog. This is my gameplan for my life in the foreseeable future. It is a bright and glorious plan that will have a nice mix of studying and homework incorporated into it to produce the final product, one that I will savor.
So we had this essay test on Julius Caesar today in my English class. Our teacher gave us the list of 5 topics (one from each Act) that we were able to do, and we had to pick 2 too write in that class period. People stressing out around me is kind of entertaining, which is ironic because I look over to one of the girls who is freaking out at this point when we received a time update, and she had what appeared to be a COMPLETELY WRITTEN ESSAY on this sheet of paper. We were allowed to put quotes and things to back up our ideas on this paper, but since our English teacher is pretty slack, she didn’t really care what we put on it I guess. There are just some unwritten rules that, if broken, defy the purpose of the test itself, which is to write 2 essays in one period. I guess I could have done it as well, but I would feel guilty about it, and guilt is something that I don’t need in my life right now. All of this writing I have been doing with my blogs seemed to help a bunch, so I guess I will have to wait to see if my grade’s demise was set in the starts, or if the fault was in myself.
