I gathered a sleeping mat, a pillow, and a blanket and ventured my way outside into the cool night, where the sky was very clear. No clouds could be seen and there wasn’t much light pollution. I saw a few shooting stars when I first went out, then I realized that I may have went out a bit to early, so I looked it up and the time was set for around… 3-4 am… it was currently around 9:30 pm, but I decided to stay anyways. So I did. I just laid there and looked up, then I remembered how tired I was, and started to daze off a bit. Next thing I know, the dew is beginning to fall, so I put my head under my blanket and start breathing heavily to build up some heat. Who hasn’t done that, though? Anyways, next thing I know it is the time, and there were clouds. I was disappointed, but I was also tired, so when my mom came outside to go to work at 4:30 in the morning and sees her son laying on the driveway curled up into a ball, she convinced me to go back inside.
It was a pretty good experience overall, but also a bit of a let down. At least it didn’t rain.
