The Typical New Years Post…?

I WILL NOW LIST MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS WHICH INCLUDE WORKING OUT AND DRINKING WATER AND … which is usually how I would set up a resolution post to herald in the new year, but this year I want it to be different. This is an extremely important year for me and any other seniors in high school, because within one year we will be thrust from the zoo that is high school to the larger and more challenging zoo that is college. In this coming year I will not only get a high school diploma *fingers crossed* but also complete a small portion of college *fingers also crossed*. Since this is such an important year, I really want something more out of it. I don’t want to just “get by” or “make it another year” because that kind of apathy is just sickening to think about like HELLO WAKE UP THIS IS YOUR LIFE SPEAKING PLEASE LIVE ME but anyways I honestly just want to be a better person and live a little bit more. I am seriously flawed in a multitude of ways, and there is some refining I need to do, but I DO NOT want to in any way, shape, or form change who I am. I am content with myself but I am also aware of how messed up I am at times, and I think the right combination of change and consistency will lead me down a better path. Just like every year, however, there will be the rough spots. Thinking ahead to college finals later in this coming year makes me want to rake my eyes out, and I have to realize that those rough spots suck and there’s nothing I can do about it except give it my best because it’s not like I’m the only that has to take finals and I’m not the only one who is busy. This year is shaping up to be one of great proportions, and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to  share it on this piece of the interweb with you folks. With that being said, thank you to everyone who make this year exceptional, not only on this blog but in my life. I have so many people to thank for so many things, and I can’t begin to describe how much I appreciate everyone. So thanks, to everyone, and a very merry new year. #gethypefor2016 #highschooltocollege #orjustashepherd
